SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim sassa status on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider point developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
